We ended up there by accident.But it was the best thing that ever happened to us.The place is small, but the food (main course and desserts, which is what we ate) is homemade and simply divine.

Home made style food. Delicious and a very welcoming small place that makes you feel like you belong there, that you are part of it. The staff are very kind and willing, make you feel special and even provide you with some treats for your kids. All of that for a somewhat cheap place. I strongly recommend and will surely return. That's for sure.

A traditional meal of Bacalhau à Brás and pig feet stew. Sunday nights are meant for these simple dishes. The pig feet are in a vinegar base stew that you just gotta sop up with the soft bread and it’s a given that you gotta pour that sauce over the steamed batatas-nom nomCash only

I loved Casa Velha. It was like going to eat at a friend's house. Nothing fancy, but very cozy. A small, simple restaurant with an open kitchen, very artisanal, very Portuguese and with happy staff offering their service. I recommend it!
